Quality early learning and childcare plays a fundamental part in a child’s development.

Early childhood educators are the backbone of this system. They are educated, trained, and licensed with years of experience. 

But wages for these workers are low and work conditions are substandard. 

This means that these childcare workers are stretched too thin at work - many have to find second jobs to earn a living wage - or leave the sector altogether.

Those who are responsible for Saskatchewan’s youngest learners are worth more. 

They deserve fair compensation, proper working conditions, and a seat at the table where the government is making decisions for them.
