SIGN THE PETITION TO SAVE PUBLIC EDUCATION FROM NEGLECT!

TELL SCOTT MOE THAT HIS FUNDING CUTS TO PUBLIC EDUCATION AND PRIVATIZATION MODELS WON’T BE TOLERATED.

Over the last five years, Scott Moe and the Sask Party have continuously gutted public education through funding cuts and lack of resources while only giving them a pitiful 7% increase (~1.3% per year) in funding.

Scott Moe and the Sask Party have made it crystal clear: public education is not their priority.

Meanwhile, private schools across the province have received an increase of 88% (~13.5% per year) to the funding they receive from the government over the same five year time period.

Public dollars must not fund private education, let alone witness a tenfold increase in that funding!

To make matters worse, these Sask Party funded private schools have operated with little oversight, resulting in terrible learning environments for their students.

• Private schools have been found to have staff that are not qualified teachers. They have been found to be acting as teachers without being accredited educators.

• Curriculum used in private schools has been found to be questionable, including references in textbooks to proof of dinosaurs existing at the same time as man.

The list could go on, but the fact of the matter is that public education is crumbling while Scott Moe funnels taxpayer dollars into the privatization of schools.

You can help get back the funding that children in public schools need - and deserve.
