RURAL HEALTHCARE IS IN CRISIS
Scott Moe’s underfunding of healthcare is hurting communities throughout Saskatchewan
Rural communities across Saskatchewan are facing a healthcare crisis like never before.
Emergency rooms are closed for days and weeks on end, forcing those who need urgent care to drive hours and hours outside of their community to receive care.
There are not enough family doctors for those who need one, and those who do have one, are not able to see them without having to sit through unbearably long wait times.
And instead of investing in real solutions to hire and retain more staff who will stay in Saskatchewan, they are contracting out surgeries to multi-billion dollar private corporations in Alberta.
No matter where someone lives in Saskatchewan, they deserve to be able to get the care they need.
But, that is not the reality in our province today.
Scott Moe and the Sask Party have broken our trust.
The stress of not knowing if you or a loved one will be able to receive the help you need when you need it is not one that anybody from Saskatchewan should have to face.
They have failed us.
While they continue to be busy pointing fingers at everybody else, these problems just keep getting worse and worse, and those who need care continue to struggle without it.
The government needs to know that we will not accept this.
Add your voice today and make sure that the government pays attention to the crisis in healthcare and rural Saskatchewan.
