Extreme Move by Scott Moe Threatens All Charter Rights

Scott Moe's misuse of the Notwithstanding Clause poses a grave threat to the rights and freedoms of everyone in Saskatchewan. He's invoking the Clause to move ahead with the policy, even though a judge ruled that the policies should not be implemented until it goes through the courts.

Scott Moe’s abuse of power establishes a dangerous precedent.

If we allow this abuse to go unchecked, who will be the next target? Anyone that Scott Moe disagrees with? Other marginalized groups? Workers who want to strike for better wages? You? 

We saw how Doug Ford attempted to use the Notwithstanding Clause as a sledgehammer to take away workers’ rights in Ontario.

The implications are vast and concerning, for all of us.

We have to come together to stop this now.
